Why Godfrey?

Brass Core Construction

Godfrey offers the only corrosion collar with a unique brass core. This assures permanent electrical connection by holding the collar around the propeller shaft until all last traces of zinc corrode.

Streamlined Zinc-Brass Collar

Godfrey's streamlined design prevents any zinc from falling off of the prop shaft. Once they are bolted, the corrosion-free brass inserts will hold the zinc tightly in place and keep the collar conductive.

Electrolytic Corrosion

Electrolytic corrosion occurs between two different metals whenever they are placed in salt or polluted water. Electric current slowly removes the "less noble" metal (e.g., zinc); thus, "nobler" metal parts can be protected by placing a zinc collar nearby. Never paint your zinc. In order to complete the electrical flow of the sacrificial zinc there must be direct contact with the metal it is intended to protect.

GIVE YOUR PROPELLER LASTING PROTECTION AGAINST CORROSION

If you are planning on spending more time at the dock this year, be aware of stray electrical current from other boats around you.

REDUCE ELECTROLYTIC CORROSION

Corrosive currents will flow directly to the zinc in the collar, instead of the propeller.

PROTECT OTHER METAL PARTS NEARBY

Your boat's rudder, shaft and other metal components will get the same protection.

STAYS TIGHT - GUARANTEED

Some collars ride loose after even a little corrosion. Patented Godfrey designs won't.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Brass inserts meet environmental restrictions and prevent any zinc from falling off.
